002: Machine and Needles

Roostar Studios hosted a machine and needle making seminar for our local tattoo peeps. Eric Inclan was generous enough to share knowledge with the new generation of tattoo artist on the old ways of doing things. He drove all the way from Texas to share this knowledge.

Our crew and friends got to solder our own coil tattoo machines and make needles from scratch. The experience was one of a kind and one we all will cherish. After the coil seminar we broke for a late lunch and had brisket made by our local bud James Carter and his family here in Huntsville. A big shout out to them feeding us and keeping our bellies full. And our local restaurant the Crooked Rooster for providing drinks.

After lunch we went straight into needle making. The process was very tedious and detailed. We had to inspect them to make sure each needle was perfect and not bent or dull and soldered them together. After the class we said our good byes. Thank you again Eric for making the drive to our humble little shop.
